How To Turn A Bad Day Into A Good Day
73
You know what a bad day is, right?
Of course you do. You are well aware that a bad day is one of those days when nothing seems to go right; when you have a non-stop argument with your spouse or partner; when your children do not let up on driving you nuts; when you feel listless, melancholy or troubled; when you can’t stop worrying about your shortage of money; when you hate your job more than ever; when you feel physically ill from the flu or some other malady; when you are consumed by cynicism or pessimism, etc., etc., etc.
Well, I am certain that I do not have to tell you that bad days are the source for a great many problems. They usually or, at least, frequently cause people to experience such things as setbacks and decreases in productivity, mental and emotional upheaval, loss of focus, trouble getting along with others, and sexual impotency. Or else they cause people to do such things as abuse alcohol and use street drugs, make unwise or impulsive decisions, over eat, neglect their appearance and hygiene, fail to show up for work and to pay their bills on time, ignore and/or break laws, and kick the family dog.
Obviously, bad days are not good for one’s health and overall wellbeing which translates to a very important fact: Everyone should constantly take measures to have as few bad days as possible. We must continually take action to reduce the occurrence of a problem that affects the quality of our lives.
And there is a way -- a sure-fire way, in fact -- to lessen the number of bad days and it is not that complicated.
The only thing that has to be done to wipe out a bad day is to turn it into a good day. Instead of sitting back and allowing a day to remain bad, flip the situation by replacing any negative thoughts or feelings that you might have with positive ones. Or, instead of dwelling on the problems that are at the root of the bad day that you are having, do a complete “1-80” by focusing only on solutions or possible solutions.
For example, if you are having a bad day because you do not have enough money to pay a credit card bill this month, do not just sit around and worry about it and dodge the collection calls from the bank. Take immediate action to solve the problem. Contact the bank and ask it to grant you an extension. And following that, start looking into ways that you can raise the cash to catch up on the bill by looking for something to pawn, for instance, or by seeking ways to earn additional income.
In other words, to turn a bad day into a good day, the only things you have to do are focus on the solutions instead of on the problems, and replace the negative thoughts on your mind with positive ones.

Nice Hub! I liked read about that!
I guess we can all turn a bad day into a better one, by not giving up and just throwing in the towel so to speak.
What a great article feenix. Having a bad day is like having a big gray cloud over your head. If you have only positive thoughts and think of all that you have to be thankful for, all of your days will be sunny!
Feenix, I have a suggestion for those who are having a bad day.
Read Feenix's hubs :-)
Here is a favourite quote of mine that helps me when I am feeling negative and overwhelmed.
"I choose peace over this."
Very good hub. We can't control what happens to us, but we can control what we do with it. Our attitude is the most important part of us - if we choose to have a bad day, we will have a bad day.
"If you say you can't, you're right."
We have only so many days on this earth. Don't want to waste to many of them with the bad days. Stay positive and enjoy life. Enjoyed your hub. keep up the good work. I will be reading more

A bad day is only one that I allow. Outside circumstances only affect me when allowed. I remind myself that I am in the world but not partof it and I live in a higher Kingdom and authority. When I turn my thoughts to God for strength, He is always there to help me.
