The "Wall Street Protests" = Wasted Days And Wasted Nights

Straight up!

I am a spade who always calls a spade a spade.

That said, I must say that when it comes to the thousands of “Wall Street Protesters,” not a one of them gives a damn about the United States of America. They have no interest in contributing to the well-being and advancement of this society. They are only out to destroy, disrupt and corrupt. They are determined to turn this nation into a lawless, chaotic place in which anything and everything goes. They want America to collapse.

Furthermore, the “protesters” are permanent occupants of a deep, dark, dingy, filthy, slimy and smelly pit filled with bitterness, envy, stupidity, wickedness, perversion, laziness, hatred, confusion, ignorance, lawlessness and permissiveness -- and they are bent on pulling as many others as they can down into that evil chasm with them.

The foregoing is indisputable because if those individuals were really concerned about generating positive change (like they keep proclaiming they are), they would not be behaving in the ways they are. Large numbers of them would not be hanging out in the streets and public parks doing such things as smoking dope, having sexual intercourse under the stars in sleeping bags, urinating and defecating on the sidewalks, blocking people’s way as they try to get to their jobs and homes, disturbing the peace by shouting at the top of their lungs and loudly banging on drums and empty 55-gallon oil containers, and throwing all kinds of objects at police officers and firefighters.

As a matter of fact, the “Wall Street Protesters” are smoking so much dope and drinking so much alcohol hundreds of drug dealers are getting rich quick and many of the local liquor stores are staying open late every night. And the “protesters” are having so much sex that used condoms are strewn all over the place.

Now, I am not making any of this up. Because I have traveled down to the Wall Street section of New York City on several occasions since the “occupation“ got underway -- in order to MONITOR the situation -- I have seen it all with my own eyes. In addition, I know my way around that area of town because I worked down there for nearly 30 years. Up until not so very long ago, that region was my second home.

No, the “protesters” are not out to help the “American People” at all -- because if they were, they would be going about things in a far different way than they are. Instead of having massive souped-up rave parties and making menaces of themselves, they would be organizing and taking initiatives to bring about numerous positive changes.

As examples, they would be banding together to establish voluntary organizations to educate people about such things as effectively budgeting their incomes, the responsible use of credit cards, setting up and maintaining savings accounts, and paying their bills on time.

In addition, they would be carrying out voluntary measures to tutor school children, to help small businesses to become more profitable, to help impoverished urban dwellers to improve their homes and communities, to provide people with guidance on how to avoid being taken advantage of by con artists and big corporations, to teach skills to the unskilled, and to provide free legal services to working individuals who are facing foreclosures or who are thinking about purchasing homes.

Unfortunately, none of the foregoing is going to happen, leaving us with the “Wall Street Protests” which is nothing but wasted days and wasted nights.

Good hub. They are starting to look like fools now by not going about it in the right way. The message is the right one but it's being drowned out in stupidity. Organize and become a movement and you will bring change.

feenix. You are on a roll. You laid it down pretty hard. I couldn't help thinking about all of the hippies protesting while my Dad was flying f-4's out of Da Nang (I was in high school). All but two of those hippies sold out and went corporate. They are now Boomers whining about 401k's, real estate and Social Security. They just went along to go along . . . whatever trends were in vogue.

I really appreciate the front row, fifty yard line witness. Too intense for me. I'll have to ruminate on this.

Feenix: Occupy Buffalo are dealing with the weather too, rain, cold early this a.m. it was 28. They are not leaving their tents,or sleeping bags. They are leaderless. Companies have been donating to these people; subzero blankets, and sleeping bags - they have hay and straw for insulation in the main tents. The fire department have dropped off pizza. One girl took time off from her bike shop job to join the protest. They are camped out at Niagara Square and many are intoxicated, items have been stolen. There are many members of the community involved with these protesters and they have a website - occupybuffalo.org.

There is also an idea of Petitions being submitted within each place that could be another way of getting work done. Yet - I agree with you and voted this Hub - Up - Interesting,& Awesome.

I received a facebook notice two days ago from one of my friends across the pond. Seems the protest has crossed the pond as well and the UK is dealing with the same problems it's causing.

So, even socialism at it's finest isn't working for them, and I thought socialism was pretty much what they were hoping for.

The way I see this "Occupy Wall Street movement", is that it's a movement of the hard left, that has also attracted many naive young poeple and punks. They see the country as owing them and mistakenly believe that the private sector will keep producing while the government picks thier pockets. "What's in it for me"-would be a good slogan or mission statement for this movement!-WBA

Hey Feenix,

I was one of those folks that supported the Occupy Wall Street protest at first. But as its gone along, it's kinda getting old. I think one of the main problems with the protest is that it has turned into "People Vs The Cops" and gone away from there main (I think) message of (Equal opportunity for people). That is why I have not written any hubs on the OWS protest. I used to see it as a worthy cause. Now I just see it as a waste of time. My opinion is, If you want true change, Do it at the ballot box. Nice rant Feenix. I'm voting it up.

I think it is time for the Tea Party (or like minded) folks to remind them HOW to get things done. The Tea Party changed the scene in Washington. The demonstrated peacefully, and never left a mess for others to clean. They organized and applied. There was a common goal, and they were successful in achieving it.

Occupy crowd has NO clue to fixing anything that they are mad about. They are mindless "zombies"...I think you can see some of these guys as extras on the 'Walking Dead' series.

Especially when every administration from Reagan on up deregulated the financial system to the point of legalizing organized crime, robbed the treasury, embraced the New World Order (first introduced by Pres. Feenix, it is doubtful that your so called first hand experience is the truth. I have read all of your articles and you are definitely bent far to the Right. Since you supposedly went there as a spy of sorts why didn’t you take pictures of this debauchery and condom proliferation. I suspect it’s a lot like big foot or U.F.O.s, people claim they see them but there are never any credible photos or videos.

What book are you reading that claims this was a Marxist country during the time period? JFK was all about social reform, but he was no Marxist. Marx had a few good points, but his system of revolution has never worked anywhere. It leads to the worst kind of oppression and suppression. It never moves successfully past the dictator stage. It ran the Soviet Union broke, and China had to sell out to make any money at all. No workers ever got the promised even split. It has always been the elite riding their backs. The very thing they revolted against.

Because I have made several journeys down to Wall Street, I know that quite a number of the individuals down there are good people who have only the best intentions in their hearts. My first response to that is if it pleases you to call me a liar, then I'm yo' liar. I'm not gonna lose any sleep over your doubting me.

It shows that I am working alongside all of the NYPD, FBI, CIA and Secret Service undercovers who are "spying" on all of the unAmerican "protesters" who are currently "occupying" Wall Street.

Third, I am 65 years old, I served two tours of duty in Vietnam as an infantry soldier and I have experienced a whole lot of hard times. Thus, I have both earned and fought for The Right to call myself, and anyone else, anything I damn well please.

Fourth, by being so concerned over my "belittling" myself and "my race," you are demonstrating that you view blacks the same that most people view pets and livestock. In your way of thinking, blacks are "poor dumb animals" who should be protected from whatever you consider to be abusive.

Yes! Don't let anyone tell you different. There are forty stories . . . Fl cowboys "cracked" whips like Mexican cowboys, bargemen cracked whips over oxen on the Suwanee River, slave owners cracked whips over human beings, and on. Here's the real one. When dirt poor Scotch/Irish drifted into the areas of S. Georgia and N Florida in the mid to late 1800's to get free homestead land. they were looked down on by the established plantation owners and business people. They tagged them as crackers, because they were so rudimentary in their lifestyle that they cracked their own corn to make grits. They couldn't afford the mill. They had a reputation as being dull. They were. It was the result of malnutrition. If a cracker has been eating good lately, don't get in a fist fight with him.

Of course I was joining you at making fun of myself with a derogatory racial slur.

Yeah, I'm an Uncle Tom. In fact, look up my previous hubs and you will see that I have often referred to myself as an Uncle Tom.

You see, opposite of what is the case among most other blacks, I do not view myself as being inferior to whites. Unlike most of them, I am not ashamed of my black skin, kinky hair and Negroid facial features. And that is the reason why I do not mind calling myself an Uncle Tom. I am secure enough in my "blackness" to take myself lightly.

I think this thing is going to descend into chaos. We are getting VERY good at killing each other. Maybe we need to get a bit better at it before we finally wake up.

The system is broken and unless we fix it soon the crap will keep rising and we'll keep sinking.

What you are saying here is that the cause of the recession was on the populace of the country not paying their bills on time, which is flat out incorrect. Would you like a list of examples of corporations committing fraud upon the populace? Would you like examples of how they purchased the oversight arena, how they skate laws that you and I must follow? The real question I am asking is...do you really give a s#@t? Or, do you just want to point the finger and the "smelly people?" You know what? There was a time when another group got called the "smelly, evil protesters." Be real...do you really care what is accurate or do you just want to call the kids scumbags? If so, I won't waste my time.

And for the record...Feenix is by no means an Uncle Tom, Bunco. We're cool and all...I support quite a few of your positions, but this cat isn't an Uncle Tom at all. He's solid, just disagrees with you and I most of the time. Herman Cain on the other hand.

He does think he has dibs on Nia Long...for which we will enter Thunderdome to decide. He has to spot me points though, because he was in Vietnam and can kick some ass.

Tex, I have no problem with the disagreeing, you know that. And the man has a style that is undeniably compelling, but it would be just as effective without demeaning an entire race of people. He is using a shock factor to gain readers and he doesn’t have to.

Now, as soon as I read that, I balled up my fists and a scowl came over my face. And I was gearing up to launch a thermo-nuclear counter-comment at you.

Then I went on to read the remainder of the comment and it turned out to be quite courteous and thoughtful. And thank you for standing up for me. I really do appreciate that.

And so far as my views concerning what is going to grow out of "OWS", chances are, or even more than likely, I am way off base. Because I have been writing socio-economic commentaries for many years, I know that the views I express are wrong more often than they are right.

And have you heard that NYC Mayor Bloomberg is being pressured to break up the Wall Street "protests" because a great many people have grown sick and tired of the smell of poop and urine that is blanketing the area?

Also, you can have Nia Long, my good friend. I think I'm going after Kim Kardashian, especially since she's "available" again. ;-)

I agree with you. My dumb little "Savannah remarks" are sophomoric.

And so far as my calling myself and members of "my race" naughty names, that is very therapeutic for me. It helps to keep me from taking myself too seriously and to maintain the high opinion that I have of myself and of "my race." Now, I realize that sounds senseless, but it's a complicated thing that very few non-black people comprehend.

I don’t understand it, but I can accept your explanation. I grew up in a place where the concept of bigotry did not exist. When I was ten years old we visited Louisiana and I was totally horrified by the way black people were treated. I went to a movie with a friend and he had to sit in one section while I sat in another. When we walked home I was asked many times why I was friends with a N------, and was threatened with violence by a group of southern white idiots. My friend took off running so I ran with him. When we got to his house he acted as if it was nothing, but I was incensed. I don’t think I will ever be able to abide the stupidity of bigotry. And maybe I jump too quickly when I think I see it.

bunco squad - I had a similar experience in life. I had an idylic start as an Air Force dependent where the Tuskegee Airmen changed the culture. I got beat up the first day of Jr. high when we moved to Montgomery Alabama for talking to the only African American (girl) in school. She seemed so nervous, I had to be friendly. Her name was Rosa.

The world is what it is. Racism, bigotry and hatred have always existed in this realm and always will. Things are not going to become perfect until Kingdom Comes.

And you know something? Quite a number of black comedians, such as Richard Pryor, have gotten very rich from laughing at themselves and members of "their race" -- just as quite a number of white comedians have gotten rich from laughing at themselves and members of "their race."

Bunco, I can tell that you are a very good person with good intentions, and because I feel that way, I will share something with you: On many occasions, you have to accept life on life's terms.

Feenix, Kardashian vs Nia Long? Are you kidding me? Now, this might be the most contentious thing we have ever discussed. Nia Long is a real woman, intelligent, curious about the world, can tell the difference between Coltrane and Miles, and her being is just as sexy as all hell. Kardashian is just a hot barbie doll. Seriously man?! Nia Long is the cream of the crop my brother. She wouldn't let me walk her dog in real life, but still.

I have not ever been into large numbers of people banding together to carry out massive public demonstrations. In my opinion, such people's time would be better spent by their taking widespread voluntary actions to bring about positive changes.

I just wrote one following the protests here in Seattle on May Day. What a joke! The proof of how un organized they are shows when you are permitted to hold a rally. Here's one quote from mine ... "I had to laugh. Because the one group most organized probably was made up of people that spoke broken English. Yet were smart enough to address the possibilities of Anarchist infiltrating within their protestors, so they changed the route and asked that if anyone sees someone beginning to create havoc, call it out."

It shouldnt have been that hard, they were all dressed for the part and as the group walked, on camera at least, I could see those that were beginning to transform because you could see a group infiltrate and assemble within by pulling up bandanas and hoodies.

Im for the freedom of speech and the right to assemble, but if in the assembly you find out that some submersives are going to taint what you have built up, take charge damn it!!!

Again love the post and no you're not too radical, just did what you said, calling a spade a spade...or in this case, a group that is visably unorganized, UNORGANIZED IDIOTS!

First, welcome to HubPages and I am very pleased to have made your acquaintance.

The truth is, the OWS movement is largely comprised by spoiled little naive brats, ignorant and misguided working-class folks, burnt-out old hippies from the '60s and '70s, and scruffy anarchists looking for places to reek havoc.

If the OWSers were taking a wide range of self-help initiatives to help the poor, working people and the middle-class to elevate their overall social-and-economic status, they would not even have the time to be out in the streets "protesting."

See I just see them as not being able to see the forest through the trees. We are all frustrated during bad economy times and yes to pin point the problem is do-able, multi fauceted and huge, but do-able. Yet creating a list of demands that sound more like Martin Luther's Greivances that he daggered into the church door doesn't help. Solutions, and babysteps at that, is how it's going to change things!

What is all boils down to is American society has undergone a sea-change during the past 40 years or so.

Whereas the vast majority of Americans used to seek ways to solve the socio-economic problems of the nation all on their own, today that majority looks mostly only to government and such factions as the rich and big business to come up with the solutions.

What I see is a society that has a huge and evergrowing number of nonsensical and dependent slaves and serfs.
